Apply for a Grant – Individual

Please check our Privacy Policy Page before starting to work on this application. This will give you details of how The Hyde Foundation uses personal data. You should note that you need to give consent to all three conditions listed under GDPR Consent for us to be able to consider your grant application.

Before starting this application, please check that you are living within the catchment area of benefit (the parishes of either St Mary’s Monken Hadley or the Chipping Barnet Team Ministry). You can check our catchment areas HERE.

Make sure you complete the questionnaire in full (questions marked with an * are required) and answer all questions carefully, as any failure will delay the application process and may halt it completely. The Trustees’ decision about whether a form is correctly completed is final and no correspondence will be entered into. There are guidance notes at the bottom to help you fill in this form.

Notes for Guidance

  • Please remember, you must be living within the parishes of either St Mary's Monken Hadley or Chipping Barnet Team Ministry.
  • We can only make a grant to someone who has the Right to Reside in the UK as approved by the Home Office.
  • We may occasionally make a provisional grant while you are waiting to have a place on a course confirmed. We will need a receipt for the fees before paying the grant. We may also decide to pay a proportion of the grant each term.
  • If the application is for a second or subsequent year on a course, you need to include a document from your college or university detailing the previous year’s results.
  • Referees should be from a member of the senior leadership team of the school, from your college tutor or from an employer for whom you have worked for more than 6 months. Alternatively, it could come from a professional person in the local community, for example: a doctor, lawyer or other similar professional. Personal friends or relatives cannot act as referees in this application.
  • Trustees meet four times a year, in January, April, July and October. To be considered in a particular meeting your application must be submitted by the end of the preceding month, that is: December, March, June or September.
  • If you have any questions or need any help with filling in this application, the Clerk to the Trustees may be contacted by email on clerk@thehydefoundation.org.uk.
